Afternoon Tanker Transfer and Barn Fire Assist

Wednesday, September 25, 2013 - Yesterday afternoon at 12:58 hours, Tanker 59 was alerted to transfer to Station 57 (Quarryville) along with Engine 501 (Willow Street) for stand-by while their crews battled a barn fire in Colerain Township.  The Tanker responded less than a minute later and filled in at Station 57 until 13:31 hours when they were alerted to respond in to the scene.

The Tanker responded in to the scene and was part of the Tanker Task Force participating in supplying water to the scene.  Tanker 59 dumped four loads of water until released by the Academy Road Command at 15:31 hours.  The Tanker went available a short time later.
