Tuesday, December 7, 2010 - Refton Volunteers recently completed a very long and daunting task by placing into service a pretty sizeable upgrade in their communications with a Repeater System.  This upgrade will allow crews to communicate more effectively on the scene of Incidents, Public Service Details, Work Details, with Mutual Aid Departments and with Lancaster County Communicatons.  These upgrades will ensure an added measurement in Safety and Reliability of Crews Communiating while they operate as the current Communications used by Lancaster County Companies now isn't always 100% reliable.  Engine 5-9-1, Engine 5-9-2 and Squad 5-9 are all now outfitted with this Communications Upgrade with plans to add Engine 5-9-5 and Tanker 5-9 to the mix in the Future.

Special Thanks to Radio Maintenance, Inc. and N.P. Hammel Installations and Service for installing and programming the Repeater System in the Apparatus.
