Thursday, January 12, 2012 - This afternoon at 12:18 Hours, the Refton Volunteers were alerted to assist Company 5-12 (Willow Street) on a reported structure fire at 759 Pennsy Road in Providence Township.  Chief 5-12-2 (Rhineer) made the response and was updated by LCWC of a residence filling up with smoke and the homeowner did not know where it's origin was coming from.  Tanker 5-9 (Hicks) and RescueEngine 5-9-1 (Rineer) made the response within minutes.  Upon arrival, units took a Level One Stage with nothing showing.

First arriving crews from 5-12 and 5-4 (Lampeter) performed the investigation within the structure and found melted plastic in a dishwasher, which was causing the smoke).  Units ventilated the structure and cleared at 12:37 Hours.
