Late afternoon Brush fire

Crews from 59 were alerted to a brush fire in the area of 826 Winter Hill Rd Strasburg Township. Chief 59 (Adsitt) arrived to find a 50ft area that was on fire. Home owner seemed to have a good handle on the fire with a garden hose. Tanker 59 and Engine 592 were next arriving units followed shortly later by Brush 59. Brush 59 pulled up the driveway with an active fire still about 30 feet up the hill. Crews pulled the bumper handline to extinguish the remaining fire. Total was used was about 2200 gallons. Fire was under control in 15 minutes and crews cleared the scene a short time later after some small clean up. 59 Fire police also assisted with traffic control while fire crews operated on scene.
